Megan is a Domme who knows exactly what she is looking for in a man. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to find that man. After a disastrous relationship, she is leery of beginning another until she meets Steve Ericksson. Outwardly he is a woman's dream and inwardly she can sense that he can be a Dom's dream as well. But is he worth the chance?

When Steve spots Megan across the bar he is instantly attracted. He approaches her and finds her authoritative voice and take-charge nature a pleasant surprise. So much so that he finds himself following her every order even though he is a bit uncertain and confused by the way it makes him feel. He begins learning things about himself that he isn't sure he is willing to accept but doesn't want to ignore either.

CRUEL TO BE KIND is a good story that shows the side of a Domme/Sub relationship from the Domme's point of view. The settings and dialogue work well together to paint a clear picture in the readers mind. While I found the story line to be interesting as well as many of the scenes, I didn't feel the emotional pull to the characters and between the characters that I would have liked. I think with a bit more insight into the characters hearts and maybe more conversation between them as to what they were feeling I would have enjoyed this book more.
