| Isadel is nothing like her beautiful golden sister Adianna. Seeing her perfect sister’s happiness in her marriage and impending motherhood makes dark haired green eyed Isadel feel even more inferior and trapped. So, she runs away hoping to find a place where she is no longer an unhappy princess, but a happy woman. At an inn a drunken thief mistakes her room for that of the tavern wench and so begins her adventures with Cullen.
Isadel is definitely the black sheep of the royal family and not just in looks. Her adventurous spirit is the complete opposite of her very domesticated and serene elder sister. She is stifled in her life and longs to be free. Cullen is a cut above the ordinary thief, but certainly not the usual traveling companion for a princess. She makes him happy and complete as no one has done before, but a future seems unlikely until they get shipwrecked where the story ends rather abruptly. I would have liked a little more closure to the story, but I do recommend it.
