| Her grandfather had been dead for three days. She could tell that because there were three cups of coffee on her porch. Goldie Jensen had lived with, and taken care of, her grandfather for years. On the fourth day, she finally opened her door and acknowledged Joe’s daily visits. She told him she had never liked coffee and never would drink it. What he did next, literally, changed her life.
Joe Montgomery had been a close friend of Goldie’s grandfather. He had loved Goldie from afar for years. Before his death, her grandpa asked Joe to keep an eye on her after he was gone. She made it extremely hard for him to do that, but eventually, he found a way to get her attention. He wondered if that would be enough to keep her interest. Teri Wilson has written an emotionally-charged book which, I am sure, will touch hearts everywhere. Her characters are strong as well as believable. They are witnesses to the love of God, or they are led to faith by another. It is clear she has a heart for God and uses her talents to explain Him to others. Her scenarios were well developed and expressive. I love her writing style. The plot is effective. This page-turner was poignant and impressive. It was truly an honour to review this book. This wasn’t my first, and will definitely not be my last, Wilson book. She has become a must-read for me. I highly recommend that you read this book. You will not be disappointed. It proves that you don’t have to include explicit sexual scenes to create a wonderful love story. Great job, Ms. Wilson!
