The first book in a new historical-fantasy romantica trilogy, The Legacy of Prator: Cursed, was an intriguing, dangerously paced love story. Ysbet, a mysterious princess with a wild spirit, sets her eyes on Eduard, the captain of her father's royal guard. As Destiny draws Ysbet into peril, the young woman must determine how to protect those she loves, while claiming that which is rightfully hers. An Arthurian legend to tease, and inspire, The Legend of Prator: Cursed leaves readers hungering for more.

This book truly started out with a bang. A scullery wench and a dark ruler's right-hand man, enjoying a midnight ride, run into a monarch who invites herself to the party. Quickly followed by beastly battles, quiet suspicions, and a young woman trying to prove herself worthy of the man that she loves. The erotic portions of this book are written scintillatingly well, however, toward the end of the book they become quite drawn out. With a story this good, you'd hate to get lost in the body heat.

Annie Windsor is a true talent when it comes to the written word. Her descriptions, the way she molds the tension, and interweaves the characters in the story is absolutely mesmerizing. I pummeled through this book never missing a single word, and still, I want to read more. The second and third installments of The Legacy of Prator rest high on my wish list.

If Arthurian legend, and flights of fancy interest you, snatch this book up at your first chance. You will not regret your trip to Prator, in fact, you may become a lifelong Windsor fan.
