Two very interfering ghosts, who also happen to be very proud mothers, decide that their son and daughter should meet and fall in love with each other. They now must come up with a plan to get them together.

When Gayla Harris gets a package addressed to her father she is very surprised since they haven't talked in years, but she takes it to the hospital to drop it off at his office. When she is trying to find his office she is run over by another doctor a Doctor Dan Newman. They are instantly attracted to one another and he asks her out, she hesitates but finally challenges him to a swim match.

When Dan shows up at the club for the race, Gayla is surprised to find out that he is handicapped that he has a prosthetic device. But as soon as they start racing she finds out that it doesn't keep him from doing anything he wants to do - he almost beats her and she is a champion swimmer. They finally go out to dinner and really get along great. But Gayla has had addiction problems in the past and is afraid to trust herself. She is almost afraid that her father will make things rough on Dan, because he has never forgiven her for making mistakes.

Dan wants very much to marry and have a life and family with Gayla, if only she would believe in herself and let go of the past. When Gayla starts working with the rehabilitation team she starts getting her self-confidence back, but will her father destroy that and make her start drinking and doing drugs again?

This book is a marvelous story of redemption and forgiveness. When Gayla learns to forgive herself and both of her parents for the past and regains her self-confidence to face her past and her father, it's a wonderful feeling. Ms. Jacobs' use of a physically challenged individual is marvelous, it makes all of us realize that there isn't anything that the disabled can't do once they get fitted and rehabilitated. The sexual heat and tenderness between Gayla and Dan is hot and fantastic. For those of you familiar with Ann Jacobs Black Gold series we meet Dan in Another Love and loved his humanity and care for his patients - it's wonderful for him to have his own story. Those of you who love the paranormal will be satisfied with the ghosts in this book. They work hard to complete their mission. I highly recommend this book.
