We are introduced to Summer Sanders who left her modeling career to search for her younger sister in a town advertising for wives. She found her sister, already married. The sheriff caught her speeding. Sheriff Nathaniel Whitefeather had his hands full when he ran her name through the computer and found she had enough points against her that he had to impound her car. What a arrest that turned out to be. Another story introduced Sapphire Jameson and Patrick Falconer. She found out just before she was to marry him eight years ago that he had impregnated another woman. This historical novella was not what it seemed to be. At the reading of her father’s will, Laura Woodbury, 21 years old, found out that he had specified that Matthew Black would be her guardian until he found her a husband. What fun that turned out to be.

Finally, the contemporary which was longer than the others was an outstanding novella about Maggie O’Hara and how, on the spur of the moment, she grabbed a man she did not know and, after asking for his help, introduced him to her family as her fiancé. This was necessary because she was adopting a Korean baby girl and her family disapproved. What would it do to her when Dr. Nicholas Capra, a pediatrician, refused to drop the situation and demanded to meet the parents?

The characters were fabulously described and so well developed. I’m sure readers will love them and the outcome of their stories. It was hard to put the book down at any point. Ms. Pirri’s style and the outcome of her writing skill are remarkable. I highly recommend this compilation.
