Ali Katz has a winner! I enjoyed this adventure into the past. This Roman romance is a great read. I enjoyed the characters, each is well developed with great detail. Claudia is such a strong and independent woman, in a time when most were not. Damon is a slave, but so much more. He is a hottie, and a smoking lover too. The struggles they face make their story very entertaining. It makes for a great read to go through the trials and struggles with them. I think this is a great novella that kept me inthralled from the first page and I recommend it to anyone looking for an unconventional love!
