| Ellie escaped to a small town after an accident not only took away her career, it also caused more emotional trauma than she could deal with. Her overprotective brother sends his best friend, Luke, to bring Ellie back home, and Luke won't take no for an answer. Ellie has a plan to get Luke to leave town, but sometimes the best laid plans don't always turn out like they should.
I like Ellie. Life has dealt her a blow and she is coping the best way she knows how to. I really liked how Luke coming back into her life made her realize she was just going through the motions instead of really living her life. Luke is your typical strong male that doesn't feel like he can take advantage of his best friend's little sister, but Ellie is out to show him that she has grown up. She is charming, spunky, and the perfect girl for Luke. Their escapades kept me entertained throughout the book. I laughed at their antics as well as Ellie's brother, Josh, and her friend, Vivian. Josh and Vivian made great secondary characters. Overall, this story will engage your emotions and entertain you while reading it.
