Sandra's fiancé, Mick, has left her with no explanation. Trying to recover from his callous dismissal she accepts an offer of a vacation with her boss, Joe Kenen, aboard his boat. As things begin to heat up between Sandra and Joe, and they begin to explore slight feelings for each other, Mick appears with a story that cannot be believed, but is all too true.

Trying to figure out what his father was up to in the last years of his life, Mick is attempting to get close to his father's mistress, a woman his father loved more than Mick's mother. He knows something is going on, but before he can figure out exactly what it is Mick not only falls in love with his father's mistress, but also witnesses her murder. Running for his life to the person he knows will help him, Sandra's boss, and new lover, Joe. But what Mick does not expect to find is Joe's budding relationship with Sandra.

Trapped on a boat with her ex-fiancé, a new love and being chased by a whole bunch of bad guys is NOT what Sandra calls a vacation. Will they survive this "vacation?" Who is chasing Mick? Why do they want him dead?

Ms. Stanisha has given us a tension-filled and emotional story. It is hard to identify with the characters as most of their actions seem unlikely, and at times quite unredeemable. Sandra is the only true "victim" here but at times it seems she sets herself up to be in that position. The time frame seemed to be too short in duration for the very complex love stories as the varied romances were too much, too soon, but the action sequences and raw tension were enthralling. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Stanisha in the future.
