| Troy Christian had loved Headley Rose since she was a young teen. When she left town for New York, she didn’t even say goodbye. Then, ten years later, she returned and needed Troy’s help. Her father was in a coma and was in the process of losing Rose Ranch to Troy. She could not believe that Troy had cheated her father to the extent that she was going to have to pay off his debts to keep the ranch in her family.
Headley had no idea that her long-existing love for Troy was reciprocated. Her emotional feelings were alternatively love and hate. She didn’t want him to know the extent of her love for him. She didn’t trust the fact that he had allowed her father to get so deeply in debt. She thought he was trying to trap her. Then, she was offered an alternative.... Once again, Ms. Marie Rochelle has penned a winner. I love her writing style. This first in her new series, Tycoon Club Series, promises to be even better than her previous books. This is so good, although very different from her other series. In my opinion, the only thing better than a Rochelle book is a Rochelle series! These two characters are strong, resilient and intense. Their personalities make this book come alive with lots of sensuality and conflict—two things I look forward to in a novel written by this author. The supporting cast members are also dynamic. I can’t help wondering which one(s) we’ll be offered next. I highly anticipate this series. This typically Rochelle offering presented a beautiful black woman with a formidable, sexy white man. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. The conflict between the two was so intense that it was as if I was right in the middle. I was surprised at the ending of this book, but absolutely not disappointed. I highly recommend all of Rochelle’s works, but especially this latest. You owe it to yourself to read this. She will become a must-read for you.
