Sage Miller and her sister Maria had planned to travel -- until her sister is murdered. Sage, determined to continue with that plan, quit her job and embarked on a journey. Even meeting a special man like Trent would not deter her.

Trent spent weeks trying to find Sage after she left him. She haunted his dreams. Finally, defeated, he returned home only to find that she’d joined his brother's company. He won’t let her go this time.

But before Sage and Trent can have their happy ever after, they must untangle the web that surrounds her sister's murder, because Sage is in danger, someone wants her dead.

Sage balks at the idea of involving the man she’s come to care very much for. But Trent is no stranger to danger and refuses to just walk away. He very deliberately seduces her, making sure she’s close so he can protect her, offering comfort and solace. He gets marks from me because he’s alpha with a very compassionate nature and refuses to let a good thing slip through his fingers again. Sage, on the other hand, keeps her past very close to her. She refuses to tell Trent the reasons behind her running out on him or the situation she’s now up against. This annoyed me at times. Her motivations became clear but for me a little too late for me to like her much. But she grew on me and I really wanted her to find love and happiness.

Dangerous Deception is a sexy, passion-filled novel that sure gets the heart rate soaring and temperatures raised. Katie gives the reader a tense ride for their money and an interesting twist adds intrigue and excitement. An entertaining and enjoyable novel that is definitely worth reading.
