| Amy Anderson is not satisfied in her accounting job and enrolls in a creative writing course. These classes are just the escape she needs from her frustrating marriage. She never expects to develop such a strong connection with her much younger teacher when a few critiquing sessions turn into a regular date for coffee. Jamie Whitton is a multifaceted man; he teaches aspiring authors and volunteers at a halfway house, but wears leather and rides a Harley. He is drawn to Amy's innate passion, both in her writing and in her life.
I found this story to be too predictable. The bad boy/good girl or teacher/student romance didn't have any thing new or unique to recommend it. The use of Australian slang was confusing and stopped the flow of my reading while I figured them out. The relationship between the two main characters seemed incomplete in the development of their romance; we go from Amy's hesitant acceptance of Jaime's offer to the couple meeting on a daily and already being close friends. As a reader I wanted to share in the journey.
