| When young Arlie Whitman is sent to live under her guardian's roof, she never envisioned the man as looking anything like the devilishly handsome Dominic Santrell, the Earl of Rochford. Known as being a rakehell womanizer, he is scarcely suitable for the duty of looking after the lovely Arlie but what choice does he have but to honor the wishes of Arlie's late father? So the Earl chaperones her to social functions, arranges for her to be clothed in the finest gowns and paraded before prospective husbands. He faces two challenges: Arlie wants to be her own woman and follow her strong-willed impulses which could get her into trouble with the conventions of society and two: Dominic finds Arlie sexy as hell and wants her in his bed. Dominic already has a mistress and Arlie is his ward. But he cannot go against convention and offer marriage to Arlie, as she is beneath him in social status. But the Earl is used to taking what he wants and he wants Arlie. Can Dominic fight his passion and safely marry Arlie off before he succumbs to temptation? If the Earl's moral struggle threatens to ruin Arlie, it is nothing compared to the strong-willed Arlie who wants Dominic and means to have him, no matter as mistress or wife! Dangerous Desires is a delightful romp through the drawing rooms of the ton. And while in-depth description and details of societies double standards of the time were glossed over rather than delved into in this sexy historical, the story was naughty and delicious, sure to give readers an eye-opening insight into the not so proper lives of the aristocracy.
