|After getting out of a brutal marriage, Ardin Wesley believes that she'll never find love again. However, when her promiscuous cousin, Suziette, is murdered and police believe the main suspect is her husband, Brett, Ardin isn't convinced. Lending her help to Brett Waterstone may be dangerous to her heart, but she wants to find her cousin's killer.
Brett Waterstone is a huge part of her family, and the man that was married to her cousin before she was murdered. When he comes to her for help with getting custody of her cousin's young daughter, he doesn't expect that Ardin wouldn't help him. But when things become complicated, and Suziette's murderer starts annoying Ardin he has no choice but to help her.
Firstly, I'd have to say that this was an incredible book that had many interesting parts to it that bought this story all together and made the plot amazing. There was suspense, adventure and romance at various times that kept me on the edge on my seat and had me turning pages eagerly until I was at the end. The dialogue was exhilarating and revealed how much the heroine and hero loved the young daughter that Suziette left behind when she was murdered. But it was also intense because of certain events that impacted both Brett and Ardin's lives. The sex scenes were hot, and illustrated the attraction between these two that had been between them in the past when they were friends and I'm glad they finally got together because both of them deserved happiness after everything that had happened in their lives. What I liked so much about both Brett and Ardin was their love for Suziette's daughter and that they were determined to see that things were done right by her.
Overall, Ms. Levinson has done a great job penning this tale and I can't wait to read more of her work in the future and to read what else she has written in the past.
