| Criss hasn’t had the inclination for a social life since the death of her parents. Her best friend has convinced her to go to her boss’ Halloween Costume Ball and it seems the man has a crush on her. She is not even mildly interested in him, but a dark intense man in the corner catches her eye and her interest.
Dark Encounter is a wonderful Halloween romance. Two masked people who only know each other on the surface meet and get to know each other more intimately. Rafe is just a little bit more than Criss expects. Once a month he turns into a panther. He was cursed by a gypsy until he finds the woman who is not afraid of his furry form. Lucky for him he meets Cressida. Criss is happy to get to know the handsome man in marketing a little better, but he is a little skittish until she proves herself. Love does conquer all. The other two main characters are very well described; Trish is Criss’s beautiful blonde counterpart, and Darcy is the powerful but unattractive, and smelly tycoon. They add a little humor to this tale.
