Lucinda has always wished for a chance to mentor a new wizard so when she receives The Call, a magical invitation, she is overjoyed. Since mentors are always called at the birth of a new wizard she is shocked to find her protégée is an adult. Lucinda decides she will sort it all out later, including the fact that this very sexy man is an extraordinarily powerful wizard with amnesia. Lucinda is powerful herself but Nyte manages to take control of every situation and fluster her beyond reason. And in addition to all these new feelings for Nyte, her own mentor Randalph is warning her that Nyte is dangerous and not to be trusted. Lucinda is determined to make sense of it all, including the fact that her instincts are screaming that fate has finally provided her Love Bond, and Nyte is her one and only!

Darkest Nyte is a wonderful fantasy with powerful wizards and magical suspense. Lucinda is a strong heroine who is thrust into a series of life changing situations that shake all of what she has come to believe is true. She is a powerful wizard but we can relate to the fact that she is secretly lonely even though her life is busy. She longs for love and a lasting relationship, especially as she has outlived all of her immediate family. Her mentor would normally be the one to form a Love Bond but so far Rand has only developed into a very close friend. When she finds Nyte all the signals of a Love Bond happen but she just cannot believe it! The romance between Nyte and Lucinda is challenging but the strong bonds between them spark wild sensuality and tenderness. The tension between the two men helps move the story forward to solve a centuries old mystery. The introduction of a mischievous wizard adds to the suspense and left a door open for further adventures. Darkest Nyte is a very romantic story that lovers of urban fantasy will enjoy.
