Lady Elinor meets Lord Eric Wysse and is instantly drawn to his dark and possessive nature. However, she soon discovers that while he speaks about love, he first and foremost thinks about his duty, and thus hires her to spy on the Duchess of Heresford, from King Henry VIII's Court. Amid dark bondage and ménages, Lady Elinor discovers the conspiracy Lord Wysse so needed to uncover, thus bringing much danger and pain upon herself. Can she leave unharmed from this dangerous mission? More importantly, will Lord Wysse prove his love for Lady Elinor, or will he turn to be another deceiving man who used her for his own personal gain?

This is a good story, full of sex and intrigue. I really liked the plot, but I thought its pace was too fast for the amount of action going on in the story. I loved Lady Elinor, a true heroine with her independent spirit and fiery personality. Even while her deepest desire is to submit to Lord Wysse's will, she still maintains a strength to be reckoned with. However, out of all the characters, Lady Elinor is the only one who really delivers. All the others were one-dimensional and plain. Only Lord Roxley sort of stands out with his clichéd abusive, aggressive and cruel nature. More, I thought the relationship between Lady Elinor and Lord Wysse was very forced since the beginning. I was not at all convinced when Lord Wysse proclaimed love and possession over Lady Elinor, even when his actions supported his sentiments. In fact, the hurried F/F/F scene flowed much better than Lord Wysse's appearances in the story. Nevertheless, this is a good book, with a good plot that is not at all hard to follow, and a very interesting female lead character.
