| The good things about this novel start with the cover and just keep going! Mark and Joe are two men, each with their own strengths, who are building a relationship and their careers. They have their ups and downs as all relationships do but always manage to work through the rough spots with friendship and affection.
Ms. Steele paints each character with care, showing why each is at this point in their life. Mark’s parents are cool and show very little sensitivity but his grandparents are fun and funny. Joe is a tough guy but the author shows us his sensitive side and his caring, supportive family. Mark is a little on the submissive side with a heart of gold. It becomes obvious that the two are made for each other as Ms. Steele shows us their relationship. There always has to be a villain and one of Mark’s coworkers at his architectural firm is a nasty one. I think this author gives us an excellent romance with great dialogue and well done use of words to give us realistic scenes as we view the two men’s’ lives. And, of course, it has one of my prerequisites for a good love story, a happy ending.
