Innocent Darelle is ashamed of her body’s responses to the stimuli in her mind. Invisible hands teach her how to pleasure her body while she hears a voice verbalizing her emotions. Back home from several days away shepherding her sheep, Darelle is heartbroken to discover her family dead from the plague, and Lascaux, the property owner, is there to take her home and care for her. Because she’s been exposed to the plague, he drinks from her to give her eternal life, and then curses her because she is Les Coeurs Éternels, one whose heart continues to beat even though they are undead. He makes her very uneasy and when she wakes from a nap, she decides she must leave his castle. Her guardians, Kane and Gareth, have arrived to take her back to their home, which is where the rest of the Les Coeurs Eternels live. There they will always bet there to love and protect her. They must hurry because Lascaux wants her back and is following very close behind them as they travel.

Darelle’s Trinity is very sensually written. It’s a story of courage, awakening, honor, and most of all, commitment to yourself and the ones you love. Darelle’s courage as she learns who she is and who to trust is inspiring and how she handles herself and her men will have you excited for her and them. Their world is new and different offering a fresh perspective on the vampire genre. Definitely this is a book to cherish and reread often. I give this a very sensual rating for some of the rituals of the Les Coeurs Éternels, however all the loves scenes are written very sensually and the emotions between Darelle and Gareth and Kane are very much in evidence. The ménage scenes are not your usual three-ways; even though three people are there, it’s always one on one lovemaking.

Overall rating:
Sensuality rating: Very sensual
