David, Sr. can't The pain involved in Alzheimer's is well told as the author gives us an inside look into what goes on in the older man's head as his condition deteriorates into paranoia with his memory loss. The villain in this tale is not only the disease but also a shady gun salesman who just wants to make a sale no matter what the consequences. This is a poignant tale of Alzheimer's that tells of the support that can be found for families who have a loved one with the disease. It's also a well crafted love story.
