| Glori Day is a modern day fairy princess. The twenty first century is too devoid of magic for her people and no one believes in magic anyway. Except for the children. Naturally, Glori doesn't want to live in a hidden away fairy enclave; she likes her modern comforts. She loves children, so she opens a day care center. She is very successful, helped by magic of course. But one day her magic isn't strong enough and the center is infested. She calls in an exterminator, Lance Knight, whose family, coincidentally has been cursed by one of her relatives. Until a fairy princess kisses one of them, the male members of his family are haunted by the ghosts of all the male members of the family that lived before, and he turns into a lavender colored mouse every full moon. Only true love can ameliorate the problem. Glori has another problem, she is at the age of maturity for a fairy and her biological clock has started to tick in earnest. Her magic goes more and more wrong, to the point of endangering the children in her care. She is very attracted to Lance, but isn't sure that she is strong enough to solve his problems as well as her own.
This faery tale is a lot of fun. Glori and Lance are wonderful characters, the happy fae daycare center owner and the handsome knightly pest control worker. The ghosts that haunt Lance are really funny; Mortimer, the knight that started it all, Rector Willoughby, the pompous clergyman, Professor Dudley, the student of magic, and the Sheriff. Glori's regional supervisor, Mortimer's sister Matilda is a hoot, and a great help to everyone, as are the children in the day care center. Children are magic and so is this story.
