It was a hot afternoon when Terry was sitting in his office as the elderly Cornell sisters walked in. They told him about what they saw that Monday evening past across their yard. They said they witnessed sweet Molly Proctor's murder by her husband. As Terry listened to the women tell their story he had to admit it wasn't much to go on yet he promised he would question Mr. Proctor.

It seemed Mr. Proctor made no excuses for his actions on that Monday night and admitted he did indeed hit his wife in the heat of an argument. He also added she was alive when he left the house and had no idea where she was nor did he care to find out. When traces of blood were found on the kitchen floor and a piece of glass form what seemed to be part of an eyeglass lens he still didn't change his story.

Each time the detectives would question a neighbor they got the same answers. Molly was a shy, sweet woman who was under the thumb of a loud and abusive man, and like the Cornell sisters no one had seen Molly since that Monday. All leads and clues ended in a dead end and still there were so many loose ends that kept running through in Detective Ross' mind. Somehow Mallory Bowman had a piece in this puzzle yet where?
