| As a teen, Alexis witnessed the death of her family when her home exploded. George was her father's friend and he helped her obtain a new identity to protect her. Now that George has been killed, Alexis is on her own again after thirteen years of living under an alias. However, Tucker Flynn witnessed George's murder and as an A-Tac operative, he is assigned to protect Alexis while discovering if she is innocent or guilty. Alexis has lived for too long trusting nobody for her to readily accept that Tucker is trying to help her. Someone thinks that Alexis has her father's formula to create a bio chemical weapon. On the run from more than one group of bad guys, Tucker and Alexis have to learn to trust each other before it's too late.
Deep Disclosure is the fourth full length book in the A-Tac series. It easily stands alone, however, previous characters play a rather large role in this one and I have no doubt that fans of this genre will rush out and read the previous books -- Dark Deceptions, Dangerous Desires, and Desperate Deeds. There is a novella, Daring, also. Once again this author fascinates me with the twists and turns she weaves into the plot. I was definitely not expecting this story to evolve the way it did! Alexis has had to be a strong person to enable her to survive trying to stay one step ahead of the people who killed her family. That carries over to her inability to trust Tucker protect her. I loved how she was drawn to Tucker just for who he was and didn't focus on his history. Tucker wasn't the hero I was expecting. I thought after spending all those years in a Columbian prison he would have a more taciturn and uncivilized personality. However, he proved me wrong and with Alexis he showed how he had overcame that time, not by forgetting but by choosing to not continue being a victim. The love and caring from his brother, Drake, and his wife, Madeline, (from Dangerous Desires) helped Tucker immensely. The plot moved along at a quick pace, with a great balance of action, adventure, and romance. Obviously this author knew her characters, her locations, and skillfully drew vivid pictures of her writing. This series, and this book, were riveting! You won't be disappointed when reading Deep Disclosure!
