This book is aptly titled! From the very first line I knew I was in for a special treat and I wasn't disappointed. The characters, the drama, the suspense, the eroticism, and most importantly the heart-stopping romance all combined to make Delicious a perfect read. Alyssa is a tortured heroine who has overcome a horrible past and stands as a great example of what we can accomplish if we work hard to help ourselves. Her drive to succeed, her generosity with others, and her willingness to embrace her own sexuality combine to make her an unforgettable character. Luc made some grave mistakes along the way and I thought he would never learn his lesson but he soon won me over. I was caught up in their lives and felt like I was reading about my best friends. Page after page I was spellbound by the drama unfolding and didn't want to stop reading. The sexual tension was off the charts steamy and the suspense had my heart pounding. Luc and Alyssa burned up the sheets and anywhere else they happened to be. I found myself emotionally invested throughout the book - crying, sighing, rejoicing, fussing, and even squirming at times. I was sad to see the end of the book and really hope the author has plans for a special secondary character to have his own happily ever after. Characters from previous books in this series make an appearance in Delicious, but it certainly isn't necessary to have read the previous books. However, I know once you read this one you'll want to go back and read the prior books. Delicious is sizzling hot and one for the keeper shelf!
