October, 1719: Captain James Stirling was on a mission to restore honor to his family name. He was branded a pirate and accused of thieving and murder. If he could find the three pieces of Blackbeard's map and turn them over to King George, he would be honored. As he entered Blackbeard's cave, a wind kicked up and he fell into a black void.

Florida, present day: Delilah was in despair. She was headed for bankruptcy, her marriage was over, and she was the laughing stock of Key West. She felt there was only one thing to do... until she meets the pirate James Stirling.

The story starts out in the present day, then they both return to 1719. Even Delilah's dog goes to the past. I love how Delilah stays true to herself and does not allow anyone to push her around. I think she took big chances when she was so aggressive to some pirates she met. James was portrayed just as I imagined. Tall, striking and hot. Deep down, he is a sweet guy who wants to bring honor to his family and himself. The author did a fine job with her descriptive imagery, it helped put me there in my imagination. The plot was smooth and interesting. I had a hard time putting the book down.
