I had mixed feelings about this book throughout. Once I realized this was the fourth full length book in a series, I knew why. I felt like this talented author has created a world unlike any I’ve read about. It’s very detailed and the plot has many layers. I was confused, however, about who was who and just how evil or good each person was. There were lots of characters to try to keep track of and each one seemed to have their own abilities. The one factor I really enjoyed was knowing the feelings Alice and Jake shared which were very real and emotional. Their bond was strong and the precursor to their happily ever after. Both were strong characters with real beliefs they were willing to die for.
