| When demon Ianthe is pulled from the void by the witch destined to be hers, she chooses the human female form. However she still maintains the ability and the need to shift into her male form. When homicide detective Migual Torres touches a medallion at his friend's house, he never imagined that the zap he received would be the least of what would come from that simple act. He's the one to pull her from the void and they soon form a strong Familiar Bond. But can pragmatic Migual really believe, not only what Ianthe really is and needs, but that his grandfather really did make him a witch just by saying it? The bigger issue, that he's really bisexual. Not only does he find himself helplessly drawn to Ianthe, but also to her supposed twin brother Ian. What if he could have them both? Could he publicly admit the truth about himself?
I always look forward to a new Jory strong book, and this one was a fun read. It could be read alone, but it's really better it you've read the other books in the Supernatural Bond series. I enjoyed this book and it was nice to see brief glimpses of characters from past books. This book did feel a tiny bit disjointed to me, not enough to really take away from the story, but when I'm comparing it to previous books that are on my all time favorites list, this one just isn't quite there. The mystery was intriguing, and I can see why it was added to the story, but I think I just wanted more of Migual and Ianthe/Ian. The had very hot love scenes, but for some reason it just left like they fell into each other, at least until the very end, when Miguel really has to make the choice to accept.
