| Angelica Mortis is the daughter of the famous demon hunter Maggie Mortis and Raphael the half-demon. She has followed in the family business but things aren’t too busy right now for Angel and her partner the colorful transvestite Graddy, until one day a package with three familiar statues plus one. Angel’s job is to find each of the statues and free it’s gift before her arch enemy Drak, the demon currently ruling Hell does. That demon also wants Angel for his mate. Another complication is the Guardian sent to help her. Roc is sinfully sexy and very annoying.
Ms. Bardsley has done it again; started a series that will have me waiting eagerly for the next chapter. She combines colorful and sexy main characters with a story line that is impossible to put down. Angel’s partner lightens things up considerably. The subplot of the very sad Emily and her ghostly fiancé really enhances Angel’s search for the statue. There is plenty of action and sexual tension in this story and I can’t wait until the next one.
