| McKenna Murphy is just a simple small town girl, bookstore owner, and ghost-chasing witch. And yet it's been over a year since she's had any kind of intimate encounter. But it's just a small town, and not a whole lot of places for a single witch to meet a nice guy for a Saturday night date.
Very sexy Aidan Campbell has just returned to town and is now a part owner of the centuries old Murphy Inn. But Aidan's restoration of the historic structure will not be complete until McKenna and her team can drive out whatever is haunting the inn, preferably before the malevolent spirit succeeds in causing grave injury to a guest or employee. And of course it couldn't hurt that McKenna has had a major crush on Aidan since they were in school together. It's always great when people who werent' for whatever reason able to act on their feelings get a second chance. Ms McLea's book captures the spririt of ghost hunters with all their fascinating equipment and techniques. The secondary characters are wonderful, particularly Lorena, a tall beautiful witch from New Orleans . She melds the history of the town and the various characters in a satisfying way, a nice background to the electric charge between the main characters. I loved that McKenna and Aidan couldn't keep their hands off each other no matter how bad an idea it was to make wild passionate love in the middle of a demon infested hotel. I hope there will be more to follow about Aiden and McKenna, as well as the other fascinating characters from this story.
