As soon as Gabriel is dragged into the chamber, Asmodeus knows she is his destined mate. But he doesn't have the power to break the spells that hold him to this place. Not while Templeton has control of the book and can force him to his knees, literally.

Gabriel has always sacrificed her personal life for her professional one, but she still craves a home and someone to share it with. She knows from first seeing Asmodeus that he is that person. All she has to do is work out a way of getting them both safe and getting the book out of Templeton's hands. She convinces the guards she is not a threat, an easy task for an intelligent woman like Gabriel. Now all she has to do is wait for the right time to strike.

Asmodeus is a strong and proud demon, able to take human form. But he and his brethren haven't been to this plane of existence for many years. Not being able to feed and keep his magic strong is how Templeton had managed to summon and trap him.

I have really enjoyed Ms Devereaux's first Demon Allure book. Templeton makes for a very formidable opponent, his sick and twisted ambitions make those he names Demon, with their horns and tails, look like the harmless kittens. The Demons themselves although looking the part and having the magic to commit horrendous crimes, they are at heart a sexy and loving race looking for a peaceful life away from those who wish to control them.
