Sara can't believe the sexy man that shows up at her door; of course she assumes that he is from the auto club. Imagine her surprise when she comes home from work, where some men tried to kill her, to find Derik waiting for her. Then he tries to kill her, but can't seem to manage it and she knows something is definitely wrong. After he reveals why he's there, they figure out the only way to solve the problem is to try and find the person responsible. Are there more forces at work bringing them together? Derik's Bane is a great book with a wonderful plot that will not only keep you turning the pages, but will have you laughing out loud. Sara is a great heroine and stares down the face of danger while cracking jokes about werewolves. Derik is a definite hunk with an intense sensual personality. We also get a look at the Wyndham family and a glimpse of the couple from the first and second stories. There is plenty to keep the reader interested with a temperamental psychic and wacky family and friends. This is a must have and a definite keeper.
