What a interesting, well written story involving dragons, shifters and lots of intrigue. I was smitten with Brand immediately and I hoped he would soon find a place where he belonged. Unfortunately, it wasn't as simple as that. There's some obstacles on his way to finding happiness. There are some interesting characters along the way, some you will like and others you wish would just go away. I liked the desert setting and all the dragon lore expertly explained by the author. I'm a big fan of dragons, so this was a particular delight to read. As far as romance goes, Brand found love that was totally unexpected. Very enjoyable read.
