Astoria Blair, aka Tori, isn't just any thief; she's the best second floor artist there is. The Center for Evolutionary Medicine made sure of that, training her to be an assassin, with some biometric nano-technology thrown in. She doubts they thought their laboratory-created assassin would turn out to be a thief. In this line of business she only handles the highest paying jobs, and she gets well paid. Tori has just been hired to break into a vault that holds something so important that the man who hired her didn't bicker or balk at her fee. She plans the job to finite detail, she has her egress, and she has it all prepared. Only something is fishy about this job. It seems too easy, with no complications to keep her mind laser-tuned; there is nothing involved to warrant her fee, and Tori has an eerie feeling something just isn't right.

Only she doesn't know just how right she is. And now her friends, and possibly the world, could be in danger.

Marcos Devante is a very wealthy man but he's a man with many secrets. As a member of Mythos, he knows his duty is to protect the world from the Anaz-voohri. His assignment is to "remove" one of the Pleiades sisters, but handling Tori is not as easy as it should be. His falling in love with Tori will only complicate matters that are already too complicated.

Another stirring and wonderful addition to this multi-authored series by Triskelion Publishing. Ms. Mitchell brings her unique flair to the story, but builds on the previous author's works at the same time. This series is not to be missed, and this installment is just wonderful, exciting, and edge-of-your-seat fun. A must read.
