Mary O'Connor puts together two antagonists who could either fight it out or find common ground. Through the mastery of her writing they manage to get out of the situation alive. But the challenge still faces them when truths are revealed and secrets threaten to be made public. These two stubborn people fight to protect one another but can't even talk to together. This is one of those romances where we have to rely on the writer to work it out because her characters won't do it alone. Seems a lot like real life without the author to help make things work! This is a great story with twists of humor and suspense that make it even better.
