| Agent Devon Bannion, read that as Retired Agent Bannion, gets pulled
away from his trip to his best pal's wedding (where he is to be the
best man) and put on that final job to get the ultimate bad guy, Simon
Devereaux. Finally arriving after his briefing at the apartment he'd
been offered with a bed for the night, he almost thinks tiredness has
caused hallucinations when he spots the blonde sleeping in his
designated bed. But what's a healthy red-blooded man to do when faced
with such a beautiful blonde tidbit? He gets a wonderful, hot,
"sweating between the sheets" kind of night and then a shock and a
half the next morning.
Oh, this was a great story, with such humorous dialogue. Wonderful! I loved the stoic resignation poor Devon gives off at first and fresh mouthed Lacey is just the right thing for him; just what he needs. The chaotic conversation over the chicken butts and cherubs was priceless, it truly was, and what follows is even better. And Cherrie and the out-of-date whipping cream! The Devil and Ms. Johnson has a hot and very fun feel for a fantasy in a read. I'm definitely looking forward to more from this author!
