| Alex Kaplan comes from a very unusual family, endowed with powers most people think only exist in fairytales. He walks in a world seen only by a gifted few filled with demons and spirits - some good, some not so good, and some just plain evil. After the murder of his parents, Alex decides to turn his back on his gift and work to become the best D.A. in New York. Only something or someone wants Alex dead and haunts his every waking moment.
Cybele is a spirit known as a Dybbuk who lives on the astral plain. In her human life she was a New York showgirl who was murdered by her no good husband. On the astral plain she meets Alex and does the unthinkable, she falls in love with him. But Alex is haunted by his past and hunted by someone who wants his blood. Can Cybele find a way to help Alex and free him from his demons? Can a spirit and a human find a way to share their love or are they doomed to never know the happiness of true love? The Devil Inside has a fascinating plot. Ms. Lang has given the reader another view of the astral world and what could happen if a ghost/dybbuk and a human fell in love. There are several types of paranormal characters in this tale, each adding to the life of the story. I did, however, find myself a little lost at times and had to re-read some chapters again to understand what the author was trying to say. Overall I found this to be a good story and I look forward to reading more stories by Ms Lang in the future. Enjoy!
