What an intriguing story line. While Max believes that his genetics are a disorder, some also may see it as strength. The additional abilities Max received because of the devil gene make for one strong and domineering man. But the gentle way Max handles Olivia and her daughter Tiffany shout of a more complex man with a multifaceted personality. Getting to those other facets of his personality is something that Olivia needs to get over her fear to do. While Max may come off as a dominant man, he is so much more than that. Because of Olivia’s previous disaster of a relationship, entering a new one is a very daunting task for her. But with her strong personality and great skills as a mother, she has the strength of character to more than handle this situation. All of these items make for exceptional characters in this story. Tiffany is a little angel herself and will quickly have you wrapped around her finger.

The chemistry between Max and Olivia is instantaneous. They first see each other across a room and the heat flares between. From there it only gets hotter and hotter each time they meet. If you enjoy books that have outstanding characters, an interesting plot with a twist you won’t see coming and sweltering hot sex scenes, you should read this book.
