Elizabeth Brooks, from New York, was so tired of her mother, her cheating boyfriend of six years, and her pretentious job; she quit all of them at the same time. She literally felt she had to relocate and she didn't care where. She ended up in Wilder, Texas. She had signed a four-week lease on a small cottage outside of town. She found her reason for staying in Wilder when she entered Wade's Saloon that first evening in town.

Jack Wade was barely making a living in his hometown of Wilder. The Reverend Bain and his wife, Lydia, and his followers, had placed so many restrictions on the small town that many of the business owners had lost their businesses. He planned to run for City Council to try to halt some of the local constraints. He didn't need the controversy getting involved with Liza would awaken.

Ms. Calista Fox has written an extremely erotic novel with a wonderful plot and a very interesting storyline. There is a high sensuality with a large percentage of sexual conduct throughout the book. It is not offensive but it is dominate throughout the book. It definitely is not written for the faint of heart.

The main characters were definitely opposites. However, they were instantly attracted to each other and it was obvious to the whole town. The secondary characters were very important to the storyline. The myriad of people worked together in a great way to present the surprises which constantly unfolded.

I truly enjoyed this book and recommend it to others. It was a gripping story and I couldn't put it down. It was more risqué than I usually choose. I do not, however, regret reading this book. There were several surprises toward the end which I had never considered would happen. There were no dull points within the entire book.
