I liked this fourth addition to the His series. The best friends to lovers theme always hits a spark with me. This one is warm and sweet like a nice cup of hot chocolate heaping with marshmallows. It leaves you with a good feeling and a satisfied smile on your face. Spencer and Max are very likeable characters in a simple but interesting plot. I was engaged in the story right from the beginning, the first few pages grabbing my attention immediately. I've never read a Shawn Lane book I haven't liked and this one is no exception. The book is not long in length but it doesn't skimp on development and keeps to the plot. My overall impression is favorable.
