| Trina Oliver sighed. She was late again and she missed the opening pitch of her nephew's little league game. Trina made her way through the bleachers where she saw her sister sitting and she looked around to see other women in mini skirts and dressy clothes. 'What was this?' Trina thought, as she looked down at her favorite tee that said 'Trouble' on her voluptuous breasts. The tee had been worn so many times that some of the letters had faded, but that was the beauty of being comfortable. For crying out loud, this was a little league game and not a party! When she asked her sister why everyone had dressed up, her sister nodded toward the field, indicating a hunk surrounded by players. Oh man! He was drop-dead gorgeous! No wonder the ladies had dressed up! Trina shook her head and her braids flew around her head. She was not here to get a man and she did not have time, as she needed to concentrate on her career now. Her nephew's team lost and as Trina and her sister made their way to the field, she saw her nephew dragging that hottie coach toward them. Introductions were made and as Trina shook Derek's hand she noticed that look of interest in his eyes. Derek said that he was a musician, played several instruments and that he wanted to be a positive role model for his players. Derek told her that he was in a band and invited her to come to the club on Thursday night. Trina agreed and watched him walk towards his car. Hmm, Thursday could not come fast enough for her.
Derek Murphy liked what he saw in Trina--a lot! Unlike the other women who tried to catch his eye, she was fresh, intelligent, and beautiful. It had been a long time since Derek had felt such desire for a woman that he had just met; he could hardly wait for Thursday night. Angeleque Santiago writes a steamy and very thought-provoking novel. Diary of a Love is wonderfully written and quite believable as the story of two lovers and the hurdles they face.
