| Derek Rossi is a hot shot lawyer determined to win. His ego takes a beating when he battles the drawling Texan, Sam Kimball, and loses. Trying to lick his wounds and get over it he's shocked to find Sam at his office wanting to go out for a drink. Not able to find an excuse that Sam can't counter to get out of it, he agrees to a drink and finds something he never bargained for. Sam wants them to put the case behind them. What he hopes to accomplish is obvious from the kiss he uses to stop Derek's protests.
Vivien Dean starts a fun series about these two lawyers that promises to be an erotic adventure. Sam's irrepressible humor versus Derek's stodginess is a winning combination. Sam's blend of Texas cowboy in a suit is a likeable character. Derek proves to be a better man than the picture of the pouting boy who has to escape to his Wii to deal with disappointment. Ms. Dean has done an exceptional job making these two men into a pair that we'll want to read about again and again.
