Taylor Beir was without a job. Her mother nagged her until she agreed to go visit her “Aunt Mary” and “Uncle Jesse” Doubleday. There weren't really kin to her, just best friends with her mother for years. These dear people lived in the hometown of her mother—Peddler's Creek. Taylor went there to try to teach their youngest son, Chris, to read. She wasn't expecting for his older brother, Boyd, to become important to her life.

Boyd Doubleday met Taylor with mixed feelings. He remembered as a child how she taunted him because he stuttered. He never forgave her but he counter-attacked by calling her fat. Their backgrounds hampered, but didn't stop, their attraction to each other. Their antagonism toward each other was met with horror by his family—until they found out they were really attracted. Their lifestyles were so different; it seemed they would never find common ground.

Ms. Ava Bleu has written a good book about a plot that was totally new to me. I don't believe I've ever read anything from her before. I did enjoy it, however, and look forward to others in the future. Her characters were dynamic and individual. Their personalities were enjoyable and it was fun to watch them work toward their own happily-ever-after. The ending was a shock to me. The storyline was fast-paced and definitely kept my attention.

The sensuality throughout the book was subtle though emotionally-charged. It definitely kept my attention. The supporting characters were well rounded, interesting and helped make the main characters shine. I recommend this book to almost everyone. You will certainly enjoy reading it.
