Julie Shields is a dedicated dog lover, who has one month to try to help her wild poodle charges learn to behave and save their owner's marriage. Julie has also decided to become a born-again virgin and seek a husband both so she can have the family she dreams of and so that she can claim her inheritance and use it to support an animal shelter she is starting. What Julie didn't expect was the sexy pilot, Nick Worthington, assigned to fly her to her job training the poodles. Nick makes Julie tingle in ways that can't bode well for finding a suitable husband and he is not in the running. Nick may be a drug trafficker or a smuggler and he's already involved with another woman, definitely off limits!

This is a charming and funny tale filled with the joys and problems loving dogs can bring into your life! The dogs and their owner's antics are funny and keep the story light hearted at places when it begins to get deep. It isn't really the dogs that Julie has to train it is the dogs' owners but Julie is intelligent, hard working, dedicated to the dogs, and determined to make a difference so it is the owners who better behave! Nick is immediately attracted to Julie but she keeps sending him mixed signals so even Nick who is initially uncomfortable with the dogs will have to learn to behave if he wants Julie's approval. Julie's attempts at finding a suitable “marriageable” man are hysterical and Carmen, the dog's owner, puts it best when she tells Julie that although she is wonderful with dogs she hasn't a clue when it comes to men! As for the romance between Julie and Nick, it is one misunderstanding after another and it will take some major intervention to get these two together if it is meant to be! If you like humor, dogs, and really mixed up main characters; this is the book for you! I loved it!
