The Dolphin Triangle

Krista Becker looked at then ten year old boy found dead on the beach. He had been beaten badly and his throat had been cut. What monster would do this to a child? She then noted the similarities of this case and the unsolved murder of Hope Austin three years ago. The only difference was, Hope had been brutally raped. Coincidence? Nah! Krista's gut instinct said differently, and she was usually right.

Don Austin wanted justice and the low life that killed his wife to die. He wanted vengeance with a capital V! How was he supposed to get on with his life when that murderer was still out there? The love of his life had been taken away from him and if it had not been for his daughter, Julie, he knew he would join Hope. He tried moving away from Miami to Marathon, where he set up his dolphin business. The only problem was, the memories of Hope came with him. Would he ever feel alive again?

Ms. Star writes a completely believable story about a female detective trying to make it in a predominantly male world. Not only must she cut the mustard with her peers, but also her father, the chief of police in Miami, while her brother Kevin anxiously awaits the one mistake that would demote her! Kevin felt that the job should have been his. Her father was just as bad, trying to sway her into taking a more typical female job. Talk about insulting- that is not what she busted her ass for! Some family she has--men!

Ms. Star writes so convincingly that I could almost see the beach and feel the gentle breeze. Readers who love suspense will be well rewarded with this book!
