| This is an emotionally gripping story which shows the depth of God’s love to His children. Honoria Sanderson, 25, was back in Maxville, Missouri, where she had lived until six years ago, when she refused to marry her long-time boyfriend, Keith, and left her family’s solid spiritually-charged lifestyle. At first she came home often, then occasionally, then not at all for the past two years. Now she was back in desperation! Not only had she hit rock bottom, she was afraid they would disown her if they knew the truth.
Honoria left to escape the restrictions of her family’s beliefs; she came back afraid that she had been living so far in sin that even God would never forgive her. In her desperation, she isolated herself from everyone, but her parents took care of that for her. Keith had never married, but was once again struggling with the fact that he wanted a wife and a family, even though it appeared he would remain alone for life Ms. Donica Covey has written a wonderfully romantic love story which is not only attention-getting, but extremely emotional. I’ll admit that I shed quite a few tears reading this up-to-date rendition of “The Prodigal Son.” She managed to convey a loving friend who allowed the Lord to use his life to reach a wounded spirit. This was done with a magnificent, “un-preachy” attitude. Ms. Covey allowed the reader to imagine a Do Overs chance to rectify a young woman’s past. It’s wonderful!
