| Dragon Prime is about a group of side characters in another series that Lora Leigh is doing, called Legacies. In this story, after falling in love with an alien warrior, the heroine Lynne was brutally killed hundreds of years in the past. The warrior, called Alyx, has no choice but to wait for her to be reincarnated, because she is the only woman he can ever love, his bondmate. When she finally comes back in modern day earth, he is compelled to find her. Alyx is a very powerful psychic, and when Lynne is born can feel her somewhere on earth. For 25 years, he searched for her. When he finally finds her, she's not quite the same girl he knew. For one, she hates being a psychic. While she has saved her self and countless others with her powers, Lynne has never wanted them. The constant battle to keep her powers under control and herself sane has made her wary of letting another person in her life. When Alyx finally finds her, she doesn't want anything to do with the powerful warrior. Lynn has been assigned to watch Ariel, a character from the Legacies series. Ariel is recovering from torture and sickness at the hands of Blackthorne. Blackthorne is a terrorist group headed by a man called Junar who wants to take the power of mother earth. In order to take that power, he has to take the power from her four earth children. He had Ariel once, and he wants her back. Lynne was her guardian in her previous life and was unable to save her then. She has constant nightmares of the battle, but she has convinced herself is just that, dreams. Not remembering. When she meets Alyx, she can't believe that he is her soul mate that has waited for her all these years. He tries to protect her and get her to use the psychic powers he granted her in her previous life, as is bond mate. What follows is the struggle that Lynne has to accept what is happening to her, and Alyx's effort to help her understand. I loved this book! The only thing that I would caution a person about is if you haven't read the legacy series, you might be a little lost. It can be a complicated story line that doesn't really explain things that are going on. I have read both the Legacies 1: Shattered Legacy, and Legacies 2: Shadowed Legacy so I had somewhat of an advantage. It often referred to things that happened in these books, so it might be a good idea to read them first. They are great books as well. As always, Lora Leigh writes some really steamy love scenes, awesome!
