Dragons at Dawn

Sandra Sookoo
Paranormal romance
Available from Eirelander Publishing

Mona and Braeden are stuck together no matter what. That is until they can find someone to unlock the dragon rings that they wear. Which is fine with Braeden since he intends to reap the reward for bringing Mona back to her family. Mona fights him every chance she gets, always trying to get away from him and his arrogance. When they arrive in Mona's world the two begin an adventure that will change them both drastically. Will Mona and Braeden survive it all, not only physically but mentally as well? Can their hearts survive or will everything be for nothing?

I could not help but fall in love with Mona and Braeden. The two have gone through so much growing up and now are trying to find a life for themselves. Yet they must not only find their own way but also find a way to save the inhabitants of Mona's world. Braeden may come off as a jerk but deep down inside he is a good man. I loved seeing him change for the better when he begins to have feelings for Mona, who begins her adventure as a naive young woman but at the end of her journey she has learned so much. Watching Mona grow into herself and become a woman who can stand on her own was a great read. I enjoyed watching the two learn about themselves and seeing their bond grow. The two make a good couple and show that together they can do anything.

Sandra Sookoo does a wonderful job of bringing the reader into her magical world of the paranormal. I found myself lost in a wondrous world full of dragons and more. This book was an engrossing read full of vibrant characters that shone right off of the pages. I cannot wait to see whom we get to visit next in this series.
