Alan seems to be one of those men who, though strong and capable of teaching himself what he needs to know, still has patience for those who struggle. Sian definitely does struggle. His ineptitude as a dragon unused to his body as a man is touching and will make the reader smile. The relationship that grows between the two is one of those love stories that are a joy to read about. It's a funny and touching story full of eroticism and acceptance of one another's differences in a fictional world full of rejection and war.
