This is the story of the dragon-shifter Darius and the Amazon Taryn. Ebony-skinned Taryn is watched by a dragon each time she bathes. Though she tries to get his attention, he leaves before she can make contact with him. Then her Amazon village is saved by Darius from attacking centaurs. Taryn goes on a trek to thank the dragon and gift him with herself.

I really enjoyed this short story. It is well-written and flows steadily, keeping me engaged from beginning to end. The sex scenes are hot and believable. The dialogue and interaction is credible. My only problem with this story is I would have liked to have seen more of it. I wish Delilah had added a couple of pages at the beginning detailing, at least to a small degree, the history of the dragon and the pair's prior meetings rather than just mentioning both in the story. Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints about the story. The author managed to make me want revenge on the dragons that disfigured Darius, even in the few amount of pages given. I found myself quickly rooting for the couple's complete happiness. And, when the story was over, I was disappointed, wishing there was more.
