The dragons are a matriarchal society. Jack's Dad is working for change to put the men, at least himself, in control of the land called Honalee. He'll go to any lengths to accomplish his goal, including kidnapping his own children. He's placed them where he thinks they'll learn a way of life that will fit into his evil scheme. Luckily his plan goes haywire.

Lena Austin continues this cute, often funny saga of a nasty father trying to mold his children to do his will. There's great eroticism as Remo and Quenton reunite after a one hundred year tiff. Jack, the prince, is well done. Rather than become his father's pawn, he's become his own man. He's found his mate in Aneurin and wants nothing more than to have a sister who can become Queen of the dragons so he can live his own life.

There's a lot of great dialogue and fun in the tale. They may be adults but they love to indulge in tea or wine parties like kids to discuss any problems that come up. Quenton's character is one of the main ones in this installment. He's one of many children of the dragoness queen trying to win favor with his mother and find his natural father. He hides his dragon nature behind baths in garlic.

This is lighthearted reading and a good story. It's much better if you read it after getting to know Jack better in Dragon’s Stone and Dragon’s Egg.
